Biography

TRAVIS SWITZER is in his sixth season in Baltimore and first as offensive assistant. In his new role with the Ravens, Switzer works primarily with the tight ends. After earning an invitation to the Miami Dolphins' rookie minicamp as an offensive lineman in 2015, Switzer soon transitioned into the coaching ranks. He originally joined the Ravens in an administrative – performance role under head strength & conditioning coach Steve Saunders for the 2017 season. Prior to working together in Baltimore, Saunders trained Switzer while he was a collegiate athlete at the University of Akron. From 2019-20, Switzer served as an offensive coaching analyst in Baltimore, where he helped guide the wide receivers group, before being promoted to offensive quality control coach in 2021, where he worked closely with the tight ends. Switzer played four seasons (2011-14) along the offensive line – with 36-consecutive starts at center – for the Akron Zips, for whom he was an Academic All-MAC selection (2014) and a two-time offensive recipient of the Harry "Doc" Smith Award (2013-14), which recognizes the most outstanding player of each class. He earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from Akron.
