T.J. WEIST(pronounced WEEST), who joined the Ravens in 2018, is in his fourth year working with the Ravens' exceptional special teams units. Baltimore is the first NFL stop for Weist, whose coaching career spans three decades and several colleges, including stints at Connecticut, where he served as interim head coach for part of 2013, and South Florida, where he was also named interim head coach prior to the Bulls' 2016 Birmingham Bowl game.

• In the annual special teams DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) ratings from Football Outsiders, a popular metric for analyzing and comparing each play to the league average based on a number of variables, Baltimore has finished in the Top 10 in each of Weist's first three seasons working with the Ravens' special teams units: first in 2021, second in 2020 and ninth in 2019.
• At Michigan, Weist guided several collegiate WRs who then played in the NFL, including former Raven Derrick Alexander, Desmond Howard and Amani Toomer.

2018-21: (with Baltimore) 2021: K Justin Tucker led the league in FG% (94.6) and connected on an NFL-record 66-yard game-winner at Detroit...RS Devin Duvernay finished No. 1 in the NFL in PR average (13.8) and No. 7 in KOR average (24.1), helping Baltimore's special teams rank No. 1 in Football Outsiders' DVOA ratings...Tucker and Duvernay earned Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors. 2020: Ravens ranked No. 2 with a 26.7 KOR average and No. 4 in opponent average starting field position (24.2) on KOR…LS Morgan Cox and Tucker each earned Pro Bowl honors for the second-consecutive season. 2019:Ravens posted a franchise-best 14-2 record en route to their second-straight AFC North title...Tucker earned Pro Bowl honors after scoring a franchise-record 141 points for the fourth-straight season. 2018: Ravens won the AFC North...Focused primarily on providing support for the offensive staff, opponent tendency reports and assisting with running backs.

2016: (with South Florida)Hired as offensive coor./WRs coach by Willie Taggart, who left after the season for Oregon...Weist was named interim head coach for the '16 Birmingham Bowl, where South Florida defeated South Carolina, 46-39, in OT.

2015: (with Michigan)Under Jim Harbaugh, was the Wolverines' senior offensive assistant for one season.

2013: (with Connecticut) Spent one season with the Huskies, becoming interim head coach midway through the campaign.

2010-12: (with Cincinnati) Spent three seasons as the Bearcats' WRs coach.

2002-09: (with Western Kentucky) In his first year as RBs/WRs coach, team won the Division I-AA National Championship under head coach Jack Harbaugh...Promoted to assistant head coach in 2007...Team ranked 23rd in the country in total offense in his final year as offensive coordinator (2006)...In 2005, helped the Hilltoppers average 405.7 yards per game and score more than 30 points per game.

1994-2001: (with multiple colleges) Spent time guiding mostly WRs in college, including Indiana from 1997-2001, serving on the same staff as John Harbaugh in his first season.

1990-93: (with Michigan)Earned his first official coaching role as wide receivers coach under Wolverines' head coach Gary Moeller...Coached former Ravens WR Derrick Alexander and Desmond Howard, who won the Heisman Trophy in 1991.

1988-89: (with Alabama)Began his coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater.

COLLEGE: Graduated from Alabama with a B.S. in health and physical education, while also earning his master's in exercise physiology...Played wide receiver for the Crimson Tide (1984-87), earning a letter in '87.

PERSONAL:Attended All Saints (Bay City, MI) HS...T.J. and his wife, Karen, have a son, James (14) and twin daughters, Karrington and Samantha (7).
