Biography

KEITH WILLIAMS is in his second season as the team's pass game specialist, working closely with WRs coach Tee Martin in mentoring the Ravens' wide receivers. Williams has extensive experience coaching wide receivers, a group he guided for 18 years at the collegiate level, including with Nebraska from 2015-17.

  • Has worked as a personal wide receivers coach for a number of top NFL wideouts, including Pro Bowlers Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams.
  • Williams served as the wide receivers coach for the San Antonio Commanders of the AAF in 2019...In his only other NFL experience, Williams spent 2008 with the San Diego Chargers in a minority internship coaching position.
  • In 2021, under Williams' guidance, TE Mark Andrews (1,361) and WR Marquise Brown (1,008) became just the second Ravens tandem to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in a season, joining Michael Jackson (1,201) & Derrick Alexander (1,099), who accomplished the feat in 1996.

2021: (with Baltimore) 2021: Helped guide All-Pro TE Mark Andrews to produce single-season franchise records for receptions (107) and receiving yards (1,361)…Andrews' 1,361 receiving yards also rank third most by a TE in league history and were sixth overall in the NFL in 2021…Andrews and WR Marquise Brown formed the first duo in Ravens' franchise history with double-digit catches in the same game (each had 10 on 12/19 vs. GB).

2015-17: (with Nebraska) Mentored the Cornhuskers' wide receivers under head coach Mike Riley. 2015: Under Williams' leadership, Nebraska's wideouts flourished, with the group combining for more than 200 receptions, nearly 2,800 yards and 23 TDs…Nebraska ranked in the Top 3 in the Big Ten in passing offense, scoring offense, total offense and third-down conversions.

2012-14: (with Tulane) Spent three seasons as Tulane's receivers coach, helping develop the Green Wave wideouts, who as a unit, combined for more than 150 receptions, close to 1,900 yards and 18 TDs in 2013…Among them was Ryan Grant, a two-time first-team All-Conference USA receiver who proceeded to play five seasons in the NFL after being selected by Washington in the fifth round of the 2014 Draft.

2009-11: (with Fresno State) Coached the receivers at Fresno State…Guided three of his wideouts to earn All-WAC honors, including first-team choice Jalen Saunders (2011)…Bulldogs made two bowl appearances in Williams' three seasons.

2005-08: (with San Jose City College) Was SJCC's offensive coordinator and coached the wide receivers for four years.

2001-04: (with San Jose State) Joined the staff at SJSU and coached the wide receivers for four years…Under Williams' leadership, four Spartans receivers ranked among SJSU's all-time leaders in receiving yardage.

2000: (with Solano College) Started his coaching career at Solano College in Northern California.

PRO PLAYER (1994-96): Signed an NFL rookie free agent contract with Washington in 1994…Played for the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League in the spring of 1995 and then joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (1995-96).

COLLEGE: Played wide receiver for San Diego State (1991-93)…Was a part of the Aztecs' 1991 Freedom Bowl team…He was also a member of the SDSU track and field team, finishing with a bronze in the WAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships 100M with a 10.31 time…Earned his bachelor's in Public Administration from San Diego State (1996).

PERSONAL: A Stockton, CA, native, Williams attended Tokay (Lodi, CA) HS, where he excelled in both football (wideout and safety) and track, earning All-San Joaquin County Section honors in both sports…He holds the 100M (10.44) and 200M (21.2) records at Tokay…Keith and his wife, Ayana, have a son, Keyan, who is the wideouts coach at Missouri Southern, and daughter, Kaya, who attends Jacksonville University as a junior soccer player for the Dolphins.
